TEST NAME: EXTRACTION pH OF value
METHOD: ISO 3071 : 2005
Mechanical sheaker (60/30 rmp), pH meter (0.1 pH unit), stopper glass, weight balance (0.01gm acciracy), glass beaker (150ml), conical/volumetric flask (A grade), glass rod, distill water (grade 3, pH 5.0-7.5), cylinder, buffer & reagents etc (analytical grade glasswear)
Receiving the sample from bulk/R&D with required information

Prepared pot, Chloride sol. (0.1 mol/l)/ extract sol. With 1g/l pot. Permanganate & 4g/l sodium hydroxide
↓
Cut 03 specimen at room temp. each 2.0gm & size of 5mm perfectly (very small pcs)
↓
Check equipment & clean test area also place a specimen into the stopper flask by hand
↓
Add 100ml solution in each flask & agited by hand to wet out properly
↓
Place into the machanical shaker, select/start the program for 2 hours (±5 mins) with 60/30 rpm
↓
Calibrate pH meter by using min 2 buffer
↓
Immerse the electrode several times in same solution & extrac before pH value stabilize
↓
Decant the 1st extrac into a beaker, immediately immerse 10mm clectrode without washing and without strring untill ph value stabilize (do not record it)
↓
Decant the 2nd extrac into another beaker, immediately immerse 10mm clectrode without washing and without strring untill ph value stabilize (record it)
↓
Decant the 3rd extrac into another beaker, immediately immerse 10mm clectrode without washing and without strring untill ph value stabilize (record it)
↓
Record the pH value of 2nd and 3rd extracts as the 1st & 2nd measurements
↓
Make a test report in mentioning method, machine type, sample description, testing & evaluation procedure remarks etc.
