Suitable device for testing calibrated scale (confirming to ISO 10012-1, length greater than the width of fabric or 1m, graduated in millimetres), measuring table, marker pen etc
Receiving the sample from bulk/R&D with required information

Precondition & confirm conditioning/testing atmosphere-atleast 24 hours with ISO 139
(20±2°C Temp & 65±2% humidity)
↓
Laid out flat on the surface of the measuring table (full width), avoid distortion of the fabric in its own place
↓
Specimen length up to 5m take 5 determination
↓
Indicate marking area (L-1, L-2, M-1, R-1, R-2)
↓
Technique establish for sample preparation measuring, marking and conduct process
↓
Calculate the arithmetic mean of the width of the specimen metres to the nearest centimetre
↓
Result calculation & make a test report in mentioning method, date of test, conditioning & specimen details, numerical rating of each specimen, any deviation or option CV% Etc.
