Wicking Test

Introduction :

The wicking test is one kinds of absorption test. It will be apply for synthetic polymer fabre. The test performance fabrics broth knitting and weaving. Those fabric use for specially high-energy sports and activities performed in extreme environment.

Test process :

Vertical wicking test:

1.      Sample will be cut into 70 cm X 2 cm

2.      Sample will keep in 90% humidity before testing and keep 88%-95% humidity in testing period.

3.      The sample is mark by 1-6 cm.

4.      The sample was clipped in wicking test stand.

5.      Take 250 ml de-still water with biker just down the sample.

6.      1 cm sample keep in the water and others 5 cm marks just upon the water.

7.      When sample keep in water than time will start.

Carefully lookafter the absorbing and time period.

Result analysis :

Stand result is 5 cm / 5 min absorbing power If not Fabric will be re-process.
