Incubator Machine

Incubator Machine

Ø  Work : Color Fastness to Perspiration, Water and Sea Water .

Ø  Subject : Testing fastness levels of dyed materials against perspiration / water / sea water.

Ø  Machine configuration & equipment:

v  Glass plate
v  Multifibre
v  Sample

Different parts of the M/C And Test Equipment

Work Stapes

ü  Cut two specimens 10cm x 4cm (one specimen of 60 x 60 cm in AATCC method)
along the length or width direction. For multi-colored fabrics, prints or stripes, all
colors of the design should be in contact with all components of the multifibre.
ü  For fabrics of different shade or fibre composition on face and back, both sides should be tested.

ü  Weigh each sample. Calculate the amount of test solution according to a liquor ratio
            of 50:1 .

ü  Samples and multifibre are in the alkaline solution and the other in the Acid solution for 30 minutes at room temperature to ensure that the samples are thoroughly wetted out. (In AATCC method, place the test sample in a 9 cm diameter and 2 cm deep dish. Add only acid perspiration solution to a depth of 1.5 cm and wait for 30 min.)

ü  Than it placed into glass plate and Squeezing extra solution.

ü  Than test kids into incubator machine.

ü  Than M/C will be start.

ü  Unload the sample and wash them

ü  Dry the sample in an incubator or by laying on a screen at a temperature not
            exceeding 60°C
