Softeners

Non-ionic softeners:

There are generally ether and polyglycol ester , ethoxylated products, paraffin and fats. This softener is generally less effected than Anionic & Cationic softener. This can apply in hard water , acid or base interment also with Anionic or Cationic softener. This softener is not contain any charge. Normally it is use by padding method.


Advantage:

*Fabric will be soft.
*Non yellowing.
*No shade change
*Suitable for white fabric.
*Can apply in hard water , acid or base interment also with Anionic or Cationic softener.

Disadvantage:

* Less effected than Anionic & Cationic softener.
*Less durability than Anionic & Cationic softener.
*Effect on dry and wet rubbing.



Anionic softeners:

This softener is produce by the condensation(ঘনিভুত)of fatty acid. It is a lubricating softening agent.

Advantage:

*Fabric will be soft batter than Non-ionic.
*Good absorbency.
*Less yellowing.
*No shade change

Disadvantage:

* Less effected than Cationic softener.
*Less durability than Cationic softener.
*Can not apply in hard water , acid or base interment also with Anionic or Cationic softener.

Cationic softeners:

This softener is made from ammonium salts, amino-esters and amino-amide. Cationic softener is called molecular softener because this softener make a cationic layer on the fabric layer. For this reason the fabric shade will be change.

Advantage:

*Fabric will be soft batter than any others softener.
*More durability than any others softener.

Disadvantage:

*Poor absorbance.
*Not suitable for white fabric.
*Shade will be change.
*More yellowing.

*Can not apply in hard water , acid or base interment also with Anionic or Cationic softener.
